Trapped is an adventure escape game, where you find and use items and clues to solve puzzles and get information about the story. To play, just use traditional point-and-click, clicking on the objects in the house. To use an item, open the "Items" tab by clicking on it or using the keyboard shortcut "I" (for a list of shortcuts, check the "Tips" section below), and select the desired item. It will appear on your mouse cursor, and then you can click on any object to try to use them together. It is not possible to combine items inside your inventory. To take away an item, use the button with a cursor on the left corner, or the shortcut "T".
The "Map" tab provides a map for the places you've been, your current position and sometimes useful clues. You can also use the "M" key to open this tag. Finally, the "Options" tab provides a way for you to save your game, load a previous one or restart from the beginning. In the second game, The Dark, you can also use this tab to turn on/off the ambient lightnings or zoom the game in and out. Its shorcut is "O".
There is NO pixel-hunting in this game, and we're proud of it, so don't waste your time trying to click on that little spot on your screen. Smaller objects always have contrast against the background, and a larger clicking area than the size of the object itself. The red border on the cursor indicates which objects you can interact with.
However, when two objects are stacked, as a bowl over a table, it's advisable to click on each if them (check the "Tips" section below), since they will show the red border equally.
Have fun.
You can click either on the floor, to walk, or on the objects, to walk and use them. The mouse will have a red border when you roll over clickable objects.
If two objects are stacked, you'll need to click on both. There's nothing indicating which one you're rolling over, so you'd better try everything you can.

You can use keyboard shortcuts to make navigation easier.
Even If you made something happen with an object, keep trying to use it. It may still have something hidden, or be useful in some other way.
Try to think nonlinearly: if you can't find or do something you need, improvise. Sometimes the right answer won't just jump into view.
